| This is a vintage metal alloy ashtray with beautifully detailed Art Deco casting! Presents a powerful image of a winged horse rearing up from a cubist style base. May possibly be a piece made for Mobil Oil executives. Finish appears to be original, looks like some kind of copper or bronze wash. Has a lovely patina from years of careful use. This piece was obviously highly valued and well cared for. There are some blemishes from burning cigarettes in the bowl, which is to be expected, but other than that the condition is as expected. This is obviously a high quality piece, finely detailed and well made. |
