Double Nude Lamp With Ashtrays - L141

Art Deco Lamp, double nude

I've never seen another lamp quite like this one before. This vintage 1930's lamp features two nudes, facing out with a vertical ribbed shade between them. Each nude holds a small removeable ashtray mounted with a small cast finial type screw and ball. The cap on the shade sports a matching finial. Each ashtray is lined with a tiny clear glass insert. The base is beautifully stepped and decorated with a small pattern of circles and a triangle and the design is repeated on the back, very unique and elegant.

The nudes are a deep bronze color while the base is a rich black. The pink glass shade is nearly flawless with only the expected rim fitter roughness. The combination of rich, striking colors make this lamp a stand out in any room! Stamped on the bottom 'MLN Co. Inc.' and 'Patent Pending'. We've had this lamp for several years. I couldn't quite bring myself to part with it, and I'll be very sad when it sells. The condition is excellent. No cracks or breaks in the metal anywhere. The only negative thing I can say is that the shade tends to lean just a tiny bit to one side, and I had to search to find even that flaw! It's not even noticeable, but I like to be absolutely accurate. This one is a keeper, don't hesitate if you want it. Even if it doesn't sell, I may just change my mind and keep it!
